In light of the tragic events at Bondi Beach, tonight’s (Monday 15th) Christmas Lights display has been cancelled. Our thoughts are with the victims, survivors, and all affected. The display will resume tomorrow and continue through” – Office of the Governor
 

Christmas Lights return to Government House with a spectacular free display, welcoming the public nightly. The historic Fernberg Estate will once again glow with a magical Christmas light show beloved by Brisbane families.

This year’s display offers a fresh look, inviting visitors to explore the gardens and step inside to admire the grand Christmas tree. Entry is free, with no tickets or bookings required. Guests may enter via Fernberg Road, enjoy street parking nearby, and receive mobility drop-off support from onsite security. Pets are not permitted, except assistance dogs.

As the Governor of Queensland’s official residence since 1910, Fernberg continues its tradition of drawing thousands each year to experience one of Brisbane’s brightest and most cherished festive displays.
