Clean Up Australia Day

Clean Up Australia Day 2026

Calling all Aussies! On Sunday 1st March, make a difference and teach your kids the importance of caring for our planet by joining the 36th annual Clean Up Australia Day.

This is the perfect opportunity to show children how small actions can create big change. Since its founding in 1990 by Ian Kiernan AO, over 22 million Australians have come together to clean up parks, beaches, and neighbourhoods, keeping our environment healthy for future generations.

In 2025, over 800,000 people volunteered across 8,000 events nationally during the Clean Up Australia Day campaign period.

Volunteers can receive a free Clean Up kit containing gloves, bags and other resources, with packs for individuals, families, community groups and schools available.

Be the change this Clean Up Australia Day and help your kids learn that caring for the Earth starts with us!
