Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo at South Bank
Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo is stomping into South Bank these summer school holidays! Families can meet lifelike prehistoric creatures during an interactive live show at the South Bank Piazza from 9-17 January 2027.
Created by Australian puppetry company Erth Visual & Physical Inc, the show brings together puppetry, palaeontology and plenty of Aussie humour. Designed for children aged three and up, it gives curious kids a chance to learn about prehistoric animals and see them up close.
What to expect at Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo
The 45-minute show introduces audiences to a range of prehistoric creatures, including Queensland’s own Australovenator wintonensis. Families can also meet a towering Thunderbird, a Triceratops and Lightning Claw, an Australian dinosaur discovered in the opal fields of Lightning Ridge.
With opportunities to interact with the dinosaurs, there’s plenty to keep young dinosaur fans interested as they explore the prehistoric world.
Families can also enjoy pre-show crafts and workshops, so allow some extra time before the performance.
