Exhibition – Drawn Together: Help Make Hospital Feel More Like Home

9 June - 14 June
Exhibition - Drawn Together: Help Make Hospital Feel More Like Home

Discover a spectacular, family-friendly display at the Brisbane Powerhouse this June 2026. The Drawn Together community art project will project stunning drawings nightly, showcasing what home means to Queenslanders. This inspiring, free event offers local Brisbane families a wonderful evening out while raising vital support for sick children and the Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Exhibition – Drawn Together: Help Make Hospital Feel More Like Home

Children’s Hospital Foundation’s statewide Drawn Together: Help Make Hospital Feel More Like Home community art project invites Queenslanders to share what “home” means to them, with artworks projected nightly onto Brisbane Powerhouse.

Drawings of home created by Queenslanders from Mackay to Warwick, by children receiving care at Queensland Children’s Hospital, and everywhere in between, will light up Brisbane Powerhouse this June, transforming the iconic riverside landmark into a powerful public portrait of support for the state’s sickest children.

The large-scale projection will feature contributions from regional communities, families and children in hospital alongside works from leading Australian artists including First Nations Artist Tori-Jay Mordey, and Nick Caldwell creating a collective portrait of Queensland and the places people call home.

For the one in three children supported by the Children’s Hospital Foundation who travel from outside Greater Brisbane for care at Queensland Children’s Hospital, hospital can quickly become a home away from home, often for weeks or months at a time.

Community support means the Foundation can help hospital feel more like home with bedside play, art packs, support dog visits, Music Therapy, emergency supplies, a library and more.

Queenslanders are encouraged to visit the projection throughout the week and reflect on what home means to them, and help make hospital feel more like home by donating to Children’s Hospital Foundation at childrens.org.au.
