GATHAA means “come together” – and this vibrant event invites the community to gather, create, and celebrate First Nations youth culture. Fresh, bold, and entirely mob-powered, the Next Gen Market showcases the talent and creativity of jarjums, teens, and in-betweens through art, dance, music, storytelling, and cultural expression.

What to Expect on the Day

  • Bushfood Workshops with Aunty Dale from My Dilly Bag, where kids can decorate “Bush Cupcakes” with native flavours
  • Next Gen Market Stalls offering handmade art, jewellery, and crafts by First Nations youth
  • Cultural Arts & Weaving with Jarjums Arts & Crafts
  • Traditional Indigenous Games led by Triballink
  • Contemporary Dance Workshops with The First Creatives
  • “Bead Your Story” workshop with Maiz the Label, where young people can design a piece that reflects their personal journey
  • Youth Dance Troupe performance by Dhakkan/Mundagudda, curated by Aunty Judy Hammond
  • Emerging Artists on Stage featuring singing, dancing, didj, and more

Plus:
