Gold Coast Open 2026
After a hugely successful 2025 event, the Gold Coast Open will return in 2026 as a five-day celebration of world-class surfing and beachside culture at Burleigh Heads.
Elevated to a WSL Qualifying Series 4000 event, the Gold Coast Open will see some of the world’s best surfers compete against Australia’s top talent in an unforgettable showcase of professional surfing. It is a great event for families, including kids with an interest in surfing.
Beyond the surf action, the event features a full program of experiences on and off the sand. Chiggy’s Skateboarding will deliver beginner skate clinics and high-energy professional demonstrations. Sunrise yoga sessions and a range of wellness experiences, including ice baths, breathwork and pilates, will run throughout the event.
Live music will take place on Burleigh Hill with the Tunes on Burleigh program, with artists announced closer to the event. Group surfing and swim sessions will also be held, inviting the community to start each day in the ocean before enjoying everything the event has to offer.
