Kurilpa Derby
Kurilpa Derby is West End’s annual celebration of the wonderful and weird as residents reclaim the streets on wheels in style.
Grab your wheels and get ready for the 2025 takeover of Boundary Street, as the Kurilpa Derby rolls in with its wild and colourful procession. The parade kicks off under the Dornoch Terrace Bridge at 1:30 PM, filling the street with costumes, creativity, and community spirit. Once the traffic clears, bikes, scooters, skateboards, and all kinds of wheeled contraptions cruise down Boundary Street in a celebration like no other.
The fun continues throughout the afternoon with quirky races, relays, and entertainment along the closed-road section. Crowds can enjoy live music, street performances, and even a doggy fashion parade, adding plenty of laughs and colour to the day. Open to all ages, the Derby invites everyone to walk, wheel, or roll their way into the action and be part of this vibrant community tradition.
