Lord Mayor’s Lighting of the Christmas Tree – King George Square

The festive season comes alive in Brisbane as Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner leads the lighting of the spectacular 22-metre Christmas tree, officially marking the start of the city’s Christmas celebrations. Families and visitors are invited to gather in King George Square for an enchanting evening filled with holiday cheer.

Santa and his helpers will join the festivities, dancing around the tree and spreading festive joy, while a special performance adds to the lively atmosphere. The brilliantly illuminated Christmas tree will remain a shining centerpiece throughout the season, providing the perfect backdrop for festive photos and creating a magical experience in the heart of Brisbane.
