Brisbane’s LUMINOUS Lantern Parade is back in 2025!

Held at South Bank Parklands on Friday 1st August, the LUMINOUS Lantern Parade returns to launch Multicultural Queensland Month with an explosion of colour, music and joy.

Whether you’re joining the parade or watching from the sidelines, this family-friendly event invites everyone -young and old – to take part in a magical evening that celebrates Queensland’s rich cultural diversity.

Children will love the glowing lanterns shaped like stars, animals and symbols from around the world, while parents can enjoy the music, performances, and vibrant atmosphere that make LUMINOUS such a special event on Brisbane’s calendar.
