MoB: Tape It!

Unleash your child’s creativity from December 2026 to April 2027 at MoB: Tape It!, hosted at the Museum of Brisbane in Brisbane City Hall. Brisbane families and kids can step into the Creative Space to contribute to an ever-changing tape artwork across the gallery walls, shaping collaborative drawings and sculptural objects together.
MoB: Tape It!
Drawing on Museum of Brisbane. Play with the possibilities of drawing and see where your creativity takes you. Visitors can step into the Creative Space and add their mark to an evolving artwork across the Museum walls and floors.
Artist in Residence Briony Barr guides a participatory tape drawing, shaped by creative parameters. As time goes on, transformation takes shape, and not just in the drawing. Over time, tape is removed (“undrawn”) and reshaped into sculptural objects for display. It’s ever-changing, so you can visit again and again.
Alongside the collective artwork, Briony will creatively respond to the evolving piece through a series of drawings on paper and one large-format, durational drawing made with tape.
Imagine it. Make it. Tape it!
Suitable for all ages. Children under 6 are invited to collaborate with an adult or carer.
