The Railway Modellers Club of Queensland Men’s Shed is proud to present the 2025 Pine Rivers Model Train and Hobby Expo – a highly anticipated event for families, children, and dedicated hobbyists alike.
Returning to the same spacious venue with excellent lighting and top-class facilities, this year’s expo promises another immersive experience, celebrating the creativity and craftsmanship of the modelling world. With over 30 model railway layouts on display, visitors can enjoy the sight of passenger and freight trains from around the globe weaving through detailed miniature cities, countryside, tunnels, bridges, and industrial landscapes.
The Expo will also feature:
• A wide range of shops selling new and pre-loved items
• Live demonstrations of modelling techniques
• Hands-on train control experiences for kids
• LEGO displays and themed character layouts
• Radio-controlled models, wargaming, dollhouses, and miniature figures
• A raffle with great prizes
• A well-stocked canteen and café for refreshments
• Free parking for all attendees
The event offers something for every level of interest – from seasoned modellers to young first-timers – and continues its tradition of showcasing the “greatest hobby in the world” to the public and the wider South East Queensland modelling community.

When: Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th July 2025, 9am – 4pm
Where: South Pine Sports Complex, Cribb Rd, Brendale 4500
Cost: Adults $12; Concession $8, Children under 15 with an adult Free. Emergency services/military personnel* and their families Gold Coin Donation.
* Serving fire-fighters, paramedics, police officers, Navy, Army or Air Force personnel, on production of a current government ID.
