Redcliffe Markets Festival of Frights
Landlubbers and sea-dwelling spectres alike are invited to the Redcliffe Markets Festival of Frights, where parrots, peg legs, and all manner of scallywags will find a warm welcome. Set against the backdrop of the Redcliffe Jetty this Halloween, the festival promises an evening filled with food, music, tricks, and treats. On Saturday, October 26th, from 4 pm to 9 pm, Davy Jones’ locker will be unleashed upon the Redcliffe foreshore, transforming it into a spook-tacular adventure.
Prepare to be captivated by a night of ghostly delights and pirate plunder, featuring the region’s finest street eats, live entertainment, and over 200 fabulous stalls. The foreshore will come alive with activities for buccaneers of all ages, including a pirate’s scavenger hunt where participants can follow clues to uncover hidden treasure and earn their pirate stripes. Attendees are encouraged to don their spookiest attire for a chance to win the Best Dressed Competition. Whether a ghost, ghoul, or pirate, everyone is invited to showcase their frightful fashion for a chance to claim the treasure.
As night falls, the sky will be illuminated by a spectacular fireworks display at 8:30 pm. The Redcliffe foreshore will become the setting for a grand celebration, with haunted pirates and spooky stilt-walkers parading through the market, adding to the eerie atmosphere.
Gather your crew, don your finest pirate or Halloween garb, and join the Redcliffe Markets for a night of frightful fun and swashbuckling excitement. The Festival of Frights promises an unforgettable evening.
Little monsters can enjoy trick-or-treating, and everyone is invited to participate in the Best Dressed Competition, Scavenger Hunt, and a dazzling fireworks display at 8:30 pm. The festival will also feature spooky decorations, over 200 stalls, and a selection of delicious street food. Halloween-inspired attractions, including a jumping castle and face painting, will entertain ghouls and boos of all ages, while spine-chilling live music and roving entertainment add to the festive atmosphere.
