Redlands Coast Lighting of the Christmas Tree
Kick off the holiday season with the Redlands Coast Lighting of the Christmas Tree at Raby Bay Harbour Park in Cleveland this November 2026. Perfect for local Brisbane families, this free two-night event offers festive carols, roving performers, food trucks, free Santa photos, and a Christmas movie under the stars.
Redlands Coast Lighting of the Christmas Tree
The Redlands Coast Lighting of the Christmas Tree returns over two nights in 2026, officially launching the Christmas on Redlands Coast festive season. The free community celebration is run by Redland City Council and features carols, lighting displays, roving performers, food trucks and the lighting of the city’s Christmas tree.
Families can get a free photo with Santa, and a Christmas movie in the park ends each night. Friday night’s movie is The Santa Clause (rated G), and Saturday night’s is Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (rated PG). Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic rug or a small picnic and camping chair to settle in for the evening, with the front section set aside for blankets only.
Entry is free, and no bookings or tickets are required.
Accessibility
The event is held in a public park and is open to everyone. Accessible pathways and footpaths run throughout the site, but the main viewing area is on grassed parkland with some sloping and uneven ground. There is a dedicated accessible viewing area with shade and a good view of the stage and entertainment. Accessible portable toilets are on site, and song lyrics for the community carols are shown on the event screens.
