Celebrate Australia Day in January 2027 at the Samford Museum Open Day in Samford Village, just north-west of Brisbane. Samford Museum “A true blue day out” Open Day
Samford Historical Museum is holding a family day to celebrate Australia Day. There’s lots to do for the whole family. You can get a caricature drawn by Paul, watch Josiah’s Snake Show, check out Werner’s Music Machine and see Samford Garage’s restored Ford. You can also look up your family history.
Kids can try on Ned Kelly armour made by the museum’s blacksmith and play lots of games. Martin the Blacksmith will be working on the day and helping kids make rings and bracelets.
Entry is free, and there’s food too, including a sausage sizzle, billy tea and damper, pies ’n’ peas, lamingtons, and coffee and tea.
It’s a great day out for families to enjoy Australian history together.
