Spooktakular Saturday @ Minnippi Parklands
Spooktakular Saturday is back at Minnippi Parklands, one of Doboy Ward’s favourite family events of the year. The afternoon is packed with Halloween fun, live entertainment, kids activities, food trucks and costumes.
The main stage features live music, children’s shows and the Queensland Services Heritage Marching Band. There is also a costume competition and a kids Halloween disco, so costumes are encouraged.
The Kids Zone has plenty to explore, including activities with Queensland Police, a Brisbane City Council pop-up library, a scavenger hunt and face painting. A professional photographer is on hand for free photos, and families can snap spooky shots at the Haunted Garden photo booth. Stilt walkers and roaming performers are also ready to pose for pictures.
Food trucks serve a good range of options, including burgers, Asian cuisine, ice cream, iced tea and more.
