The Summer of Wonder campaign at South Bank bought festive cheer to life during the Christmas season and continues to deliver fun and excitement throughout January. The Cultural Forecourt transforms into Brisbane’s ultimate summer hotspot, offering new experiences and engaging activities for all ages.
The Summer Hub serves as a vibrant centrepiece, hosting AO25 LIVE with Channel 9 from 12th – 26th January. Tennis fans gather to enjoy live Australian Open coverage on a massive screen from 10am to 10pm daily, creating an electric atmosphere that brings the energy of Melbourne straight to Brisbane. Complementing the on-screen action, visitors participate in Aussie lawn games such as volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and soccer, ensuring non-stop entertainment.
Delicious bites from food trucks and refreshing drinks from the pop-up bar by Alemre Hospitality Group satisfy cravings, while the Channel 9 Ice Block Cart offers a cool treat to beat the heat from 20th – 26th January. Adding a unique twist, the South Bank Maze features the enchanting Resolution Trees, inviting visitors to share their hopes and dreams for 2025 by writing them on tags and hanging them on the dazzling display.
