Sustainable BNE Festival 2026
The Sustainable BNE Festival, formerly known as the Green Heart Fair, is Brisbane’s premier sustainability event, launched by the Brisbane City Council in 2009.
Held annually in autumn at Roma Street Parkland, the festival offers a free, family-friendly environment featuring activities, entertainment, and workshops focused on sustainable living. Visitors can engage with Brisbane’s leading sustainability experts, enjoy live entertainment, explore artisanal markets, and participate in various eco-friendly activities.
The festival also emphasizes waste reduction, aiming for a waste-free event through robust recycling and reduction practices. Visitors are encouraged to use sustainable transportation options, such as buses, biking, or walking, to access the festival grounds.
