The Patch Imaginarium @ Bribie Island Seaside Museum
The Aussie backyard has always been an important part of the Aussie lifestyle; our own little patch of serenity.
The Patch Imaginarium at Bribie Island Seaside Museum is an interactive space to explore the possibilities of backyards past, present and in the future.
When we think of the traditional Aussie backyard on Bribie Island many of us conjure up images of hot summers, barbeques, native birds, maybe some chooks pecking about, kangaroos or a friendly game of cricket. We also think of space but, since the 1990s, Australian backyards have been shrinking in size. What impact is this having on our lifestyles and the environment?
Discover ways to make your backyard wildlife-friendly in this interactive Imaginarium suitable for all ages. You can plant your own pretend veggie patch, harvest fruits, create wildflowers and explore backyards of the yesteryear.
