Ukulele jam session at Bribie Island Seaside Museum
Join Bribie Island Seaside Museum’s joyous jam session with Strummania.
Learn strumming patterns, finding the rhythm in a song and how to play by ear. All you need to do is bring your ukulele, guitar, voice and other instruments. The jam will end in a group singalong with everyone joining in and sharing what they have learned.
All ages and all abilities welcome. An adult must accompany children under 12. Participants must bring their own instruments and bookings are essential.
While you are at the museum, check out the Wildflowering by Design exhibition. This collection of works by female artists draws inspiration from nature and botanica.
About the facilitator
Strummania entertains with songs from the 1920s through to the 2020s. Ukulele, bass, violin and kazoo combine with tight harmonies to bring the songs that you know all the words to (and some that you don’t know too). Strummania facilitates many workshops that cater to different styles and all ability levels.
