Step into a world of imagination at the Wonderstruck Festival – a free, joy-filled celebration for kids, teens and families at the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA)!
Embrace the magic of play, curiosity, wonder and creativity for all ages with immersive art, hands-on workshops, pop-up talks, vibrant storytelling and music performances.
Across two jam-packed days, over 30 free events will unfold, including:
🎤 Live Performances & Storytelling on Maiwar Green
- Welcome to Country with Shannon Ruska (10:15–10:25am)
- Storytelling by Sharon Orapeleng, Kate Foster, Rachel Burke and Gordon Hookey
- Performances by Zindzi & the Zillionaires, Sharron Mirii Bell, Joe Tee & Afrodisia
- Teens Takeover GOMA! showcase (2:15–4:00pm)
🎨 Creative Drop-in Workshops on the Bodhi Tree Terrace
- Tiny Treasures with Pip & Pop
- Magical Minaral Landscapes with Brian Robinson
(Both workshops run from 10am–3pm)
🎭 Fun for the Kids in the Forecourt
- Rainbow Face Painting (10am–3pm)
🖼️ Exhibitions and Talks
- Wonderstruck exhibition on Level 1 (10am–5pm)
- Children’s Art Centre exhibitions (10am–5pm)
- Pop-up talks: Wonder, Art and You at 11am, 12pm and 1pm

- Calm Room open on Level 2 (10am–5pm)
