Whether you’re looking to dive into a Holiday Camp or join their Young Creator Workshops and Youth Drama Troupe programs, Backbone has something for every aspiring artist. Their programs foster collaboration, creativity, and self-expression, all while being guided by professional artists who are passionate about mentoring the next generation of creatives.
Young Creator Camp (7th – 9th July 2025)
This July, give your Young Artist an unforgettable experience with Backbone’s Young Creator Camp! This three-day creative adventure at their sunny Seven Hills Hub is designed for children aged 7-11 years who are eager to explore the world of theatre, puppetry, and storytelling.
The Holiday Camp is an exciting opportunity for kids to build performance skills, collaborate with like-minded creatives, and learn from professional artists in a safe, inclusive space. Over three days, your Young Creative will unleash their imagination, develop confidence, and create new performances to showcase at the end of the camp.
DATES: 7th – 9th July 2025
TIME: 9:30 am – 4:00 pm (drop off from 9:15 am, pick up from 3:30 pm)
THREE DAY REGISTRATION COST: $380 – includes lunch on each day (BYO snacks)
SINGLE DAY REGISTRATION COST: $160 per day – includes lunch (BYO snacks)
AGE: 7 – 11 years
PLACE: Backbone is located at Seven Hills Hub: 28 Tallowwood Street, Seven Hills
WHAT TO BRING: Please bring your own snacks, comfortable clothes to move in, and a water bottle.

Ongoing Young Creators Workshops: The Fun Never Stops!
While Backbone’s Holiday Camp offers a burst of creativity during the break, they also offer Young Creator Workshops & Drama Troupes that run year-round. These 90-minute weekly workshops are perfect for children and teens aged 7-18 who want to engage in regular drama and performance training.

Backbone’s Young Creators Workshops are invigorating, creative, and uplifting spaces for Young People aged 7 to 18 to engage with imagination, playfulness, and learning through creative arts.

Youth Drama Troupe
Join Backbone’s brand new Youth Drama Troupes, where Young Artists will be working to develop acting and performance skills with a performance outcome at Backbone Festival 2025. Please note that the delivery of this new program is dependent on interest from a minimum number of participants.
