Whether you’re looking to dive into a Holiday Camp or join their Young Creator Workshops and Youth Drama Troupe programs, Backbone has something for every aspiring artist. Their programs foster collaboration, creativity, and self-expression, all while being guided by professional artists who are passionate about mentoring the next generation of creatives.
Ongoing Workshops for Kids
Looking for a regular creative activity for your child or teen? Backbone’s Young Creator Workshops run year-round, giving young people aged 7–18 the chance to build confidence, make friends and develop their drama and performance skills in a fun, supportive environment.
Young Creator Workshops
These weekly 90-minute workshops give Young Creators the opportunity to explore their imagination, develop creative skills and devise performances inspired by the topics that matter to them.
Whether your child is new to drama or already loves performing, Backbone’s workshops offer a welcoming space to play, create, connect and grow.

Backbone Theatre For Babies, What’s In The Woods?
Be transported to a soft and cosy woodland, right out of a picture book, where each new season is full of natural wonders waiting to be discovered by young, inquisitive minds.
Enjoy an engaging and interactive story by the campfire before embarking on your own sensory exploration of the woods. Tailor made for audiences aged 0-3 and filled with performance, puppetry and play ‘What’s In The Woods?’ is a gentle welcome to the world of theatre.
What’s In The Woods? sessions are split into 3 age groups, 0-1 years, 1-2 years and 2-3 years. With four different sessions for each age group: WINTER, SPRING, SUMMER, AUTUMN.
