Art Class Brisbane is back and offering the same signature art classes now in Artist Katie McErlean’s very own home studio, 92 King Street Annerley Brisbane.
Art Class Brisbane offers contemporary, creative and super fun children’s painting and sketch lessons and focus study workshops after school, some weekends and during holiday breaks
throughout the year. Art Class Brisbane’s kids’ art lessons are held at their relaxed, colourful, nurturing studio and led by professional artist and illustrator Katie McErlean, Art Director of
Art Class Brisbane and creatively led by each student!
After-school lessons include visiting a wide array of different mediums, while the school holiday workshops offer a variety of unique art themes, all of which change every school-term and holiday break. Art Class uses only safe high-quality products for their young (and adult) artists. Staff are also Blue Card accredited.
Who is Art Class Brisbane?
Art Class Brisbane is a professional creative studio for students aged 6 years and up, with a primary focus on sketch drawing, acrylic painting, medium techniques and colour study over
many extracurricular lessons and workshops. A unique holiday workshop program is scheduled for each school holiday period. Art Class Brisbane also offers local school and kindergarten and school incursions.
Creative and educational school holiday workshops for kids
Holiday workshops explore concepts in a creative and hands-on way, with Professional Artist Katie and her team leading the students in imagination and colour discovery. All workshops
and classes are underpinned by their focus on fun, creativity, imagination, safety and the environment, with skill and confidence-building being at the core.
Art class workshops include: Acrylic, Watercolours and Pastel Painting on Canvas, Eco Reusable Bags and Specialty Paper, Clay Sculpture, Sketch/Graphite Life Drawing, Mandala Art and much more…

December 2024/ January 2025 School Holiday workshops
Art Class Brisbane workshops are back, with Professional Artist Katie Mcerlean.
Suitable for ages 6 plus years, the whole family are welcome to participate.
Acrylic Paintings are all done with a basic pre sketch on canvas, this is by no means a paint by numbers style of workshop, this just helps time in the workshop.
All colour choices are yours to decide or follow the Artist-led process.
All water colour sessions are full sketch and water colour session.
Clay sessions are all air dried clay with the finest Walkers air dry clay studio quality clay. There will be no painting of clay in these sessions.
Workshops are restricted to 10 students per class.
All materials and fruit and snacks provided.

Art Class Brisbane holiday workshop inclusions
Workshops are run for 3 hours, with light refreshments included. Workshops are offered in set age groupings, designed for children ranging in ages between 5 and 12 years. All bookings can be made online.
Workshops and classes have limited places and book out fast, so make sure to book early to secure a place. Students are limited to groups of 10 in studio.
Can’t make the holiday workshops but still wish to enjoy the Art Class painting experience? Artist Katie McErlean, founder of Art Class Brisbane, is now offering ‘Take Home Art Packs’ with all art materials and tutorial video links included. These can be purchased on the Art Class Brisbane website.

Art Club
10 week in term 1, 2025, program for ages 6 -12 years
Choose from, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 4pm – 5.30pm, or Saturday Morning 9.30am – 11am.
Students will learn how to work with various mediums and be mentored by professional artist Katie McErlean in her beautiful Art Cass Brisbane home studio in Annerley.
Each term, staff will develop unique programs for young artists who are looking to delve deeper than what is available in standard school curriculum. Students are introduced to a variety of artists and art history, while being gently guided and encouraged to further develop and embrace their own creative style.
Students are provided with all the art materials they need at Art Class – all you have to bring is yourselves.
Art Class Brisbane welcomes NDIS students who are self-managed (please discuss before booking). Please note these are group classes that follow a theme. If your child cannot function alone in class or wishes to do their own choices and themes, these are not the classes for your student and a private class is the best option.
Sorry, no casual bookings available – max of 5 students per class. You may join late in the term and costing will be pro-rated accordingly. Classes will fill up quickly, please apply for waiting list by clicking on the link below.

Art Class Brisbane has FREE car parking right at the back door, with toilet facilities next to the studio space. Wheelchair access is also available.
