Jazz (5-12yrs)

Let’s Dance Academy QLD’s Jazz classes are fun and up-beat. Dancers progress their skills in coordination, memory, and flexibility, whilst bopping away to catchy pop-music. Exercises are developed around specific Jazz techniques, including kicks, leaps, and turns, and are explored through various Jazz styles including funk, broadway, etc.

Acrobatics (5-12yrs)

Acrobatics is very popular amongst young dancers and can be explained as the combination of dance technique with the athleticism of acrobatic skills, including balancing, limbering, and tumbling. LDA students learn handstands, walkovers, and cartwheels, etc. in classes that follow the Acrobatic Arts syllabus where progressive and safe learning are paramount.

Tap (5-12yrs)

Tap dancing is the best way for your dancer to have fun making noise, while focussing on their balance, coordination, musicality, and rhythms. Let’s Dance Academy QLD’s Tap classes explore Comdance exercises that work all muscles in the body and specifically develop strength in body isolations and foot articulation to create intricate sounds that match to music.

Testimonials

I took my daughter along to Let’s Dance Academy’s open day. We received a very warm welcome from Miss Taylor, who was amazing at getting down to my daughter’s level and welcoming her into the class. We tried a little sample of each of the dancing styles, and my little one had a ball. Miss Taylor was incredible at getting all the children engaged and participating in the dancing, resulting in lots of smiles and fun amongst the group. We have enrolled in Jazz and cannot wait to get started in Term 2!” – C

Miss Taylor has made such an impact on my life and still inspires me to this day. When I go into classes I am always thinking of the wisdom she would share. I am incredibly grateful for her teaching, classes, and the guidance and support Miss Taylor has given me to follow my dreams and to keep working and improving as a performer and a person.” – L
