“Our students really enjoyed the experience. They loved using the VR goggles and associated tech but also could connect to classroom learning about the formation of volcanoes & earthquakes.” – Teacher, St Josephs College, Brisbane
“I also enjoyed how the presenters explained things clearly & let us try things ourselves. It wasnโt just sitting and listeningโwe got to explore & learn by doing. I hope we can have more incursions like this because it made science feel fun & important.” โ- Student from St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Primary School, Tarragindi.
“Very happy with our cells & deep sea discovery programs with Virtual Science. The students loved the immersive experience and were engaged the whole way through. The booking process was easy & the presenters were supportive & inclusive. We will be rebooking next year!” – Mastery Schools Australia, Springfield Central.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the VR headsets suitable for everyone? Generally speaking, yes, headsets can be adjusted to fit both children and adults. Those with significant vision impairment (glasses are usually ok to wear under the headset) or high sensitivity to motion sickness may find it unsuitable. Virtual Science can often provide a viewing alternative to the headset if this is the case.
What is the age range? Through experience, Virtual Science has determined their minimum age suitability is from Grade 1 upwards.
Do Virtual Science service Early Learning centres? Unfortunately, no. The equipment is generally not suitable for use by children under 6. Due to size, weight, visual experiences and physical dexterity required to operate headsets.
