Redcliffe Lagoon- Also known as Settlement Cove
Redcliffe Lagoon overlooks Moreton Bay on Redcliffe’s foreshore and the view is amazing looking out onto Moreton Island.
Redcliffe Lagoon has everything for a great family day out and best of all its free!
It has water jets, toadstools and bugs that squirt water, childrens playground, wading pools and beach side BBQ’s. There is a large swimming lagoon for the big kids (or adults) too. You will find Redcliffe Lagoon surrounded by grassy picnic areas & bikeways.
Sails Cafe is only a short walk away and has great food (there are many others too), & the heart of Redcliffe shopping district is just a short stroll. There are toilet facilities, showers and change rooms, and disabled ramps so is accessible with prams….yey!! Redcliffe Lagoon is Brisbane’s best kept secret! It can get busy though and it is patrolled during summer months. t is beautiful, well kept and definitely worth a day trip out there though.
Redcliffe Lagoon is not the only reason to head to the Bay, with an array of WOW playgrounds such as Pelican Place and Scarborough Beach Playground as well as regular kite flying out Clontarf way this is a great family day out. There are also lots of boutiques and interesting places to eat along the foreshore.
You will find more pictures of Redcliffe Lagoon on the Brisbane Kids Facebook Page under our photo tab.
