Slideapalooza is set to transform Brisbane into a Summer paradise with a collection of massive waterslides and slip’n’slides, so big they need to be seen to be believed. This incredible waterslide festival will be open for enjoyment across two massive weekends in January so you can escape the heat and bring the family for a day of water sliding fun. What we love most about Slideapalooza in 2019 is their commitment to making the festival family-friendly.

The Kids Zone

The Slideapalooza Kids Zone is the perfect area for children age 0-4to practice their sliding techniques and enjoy the rush that comes from stepping off the top of the waterslide. The waterslides at Slideapalooza are all inflatable slides so there is no risk of sharp edges or hard knocks but rather a fun, wet and soft ride is guaranteed. There are (a minimum of 4, or 4-6) slides in the Slideapalooza Kids Zone and parents can accompany their children on the special slip’n’slides within the Kids Zone slides. The maximum height for the Kids Zone is 115cm’s.

Slip’n’slides

With over 12 lanes of slip’n’slide these slides are not your average backyard affair. Slides are 130-150 metres long (just FYI we had to reduce some due to Sirromet space) with inflatable bumpers to cushion riders. Sliders must use an inflatable item (you can bring your own up to 1 metre in width or purchase a Slideapalooza one on site, you must use an inflatable device on Slip ‘N’ Slides) to ensure smooth sliding as they head down the massive waterslides. Specific lanes are provided for families and parents can slide with their kids. There is a 110cm minimum height if kids are sliding alone but kids below this height are able to slide with their parents.

Single Lane slides

The single lane slides are designed especially for thrill-seeking teens, adults and kids over 110 cms. The slides range from 100m – 200 metres long, with 2 metre wide lanes and inflatable walls featuring a huge 12-metre landing pool at the end! Once again, these slides can be taken tandem with parents and children. Children under 110cm can slide with parents/guardians in designated lanes.

Sky High slides

The Sky High slides are for the older thrill seekers with all participants needing to be over 120cm’s in height. There are no inflatable devices for the Sky High slides and these huge slides are incredibly over 12 metres in height and 30 metres long.

FAQ

What ages is Slideapalooza suited to?  Slideapalooza is a family-friendly activity that will suit families with kids of ages. There is a Kid Zone especially for younger kids aged 0-4 and bigger slides for kids who are over 110cm’s.

How many slides are there for kids? The Kids Zone at Slideappalooza is especially catering for kids who are under 115cm tall, aged from 0-4.

The other slide zones are open to kids depending on their height and parent participation.

Slip’n’slide: Parents can slide tandem with kids of any height. Solo sliders need to be 110cm tall. *Must have an inflatable device

Single Lane slides: Parents can slide tandem with kids of any height. But all over 110cm can slide on their own.

Sky High slides: These are solo slides only and participants need to be 120cm tall to slide.

Can I slide with my kids? What we love about Slideapalooza is that the Slip’n’slides and Single Lane slides feature co-sliding lanes for parents and kids

Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied to the event by a parent/guardian over the age of 18 years. Please note that children under the age 4 must be accompanied by someone over the age of 16 on all slides.

EVENT INFORMATION AND TICKETS

Slideapalooza is being held at Sirromet Wines, Mount Cotton on January 18-20 and January 25-27 2019. The festival opens at 8am and closes at 6.15pm with 2 hour sessions offered within these times.

There are a number of different ticket options for Slideapalooza but we do advise on booking early and reserving your spot, as this is a festival that sells out before opening.

Slide pass:  Purchase either an Adult (18+ years) or Child (5-17 years) Slide Pass to unlock a 2-hour slide session on all Slideapalooza Single Lane Slides, Slip ‘n’ Slides and Sky-High Slides. Kids ages 0-4 get free slide entry for 2 hours with any paying adult.

Spectator pass: The Spectator Pass will give you access to the main festival area for the full day. Spectator pass does not provide access to the slides, however, a Spectator can accompany a Mini in the Kids Zone. All Spectator tickets include a $5 credit to be spent throughout the festival.
