Luminous Parade – Gold Coast
The Luminous Parade is returning to The Gold Coast for the second time! This vibrant celebration unites us through diverse cultures.
MCCGC aim to illuminate the sky with spectacular handmade lanterns crafted by multicultural communities and celebrate cultural diversity in the Luminous Festival parade on the Gold Coast on Saturday, the 23rd of August.
This will be the second time the festival is hosted on the Gold Coast, designed to foster welcoming spaces and a sense of belonging for new Queenslanders. It promises to be an unforgettable experience filled with magnificent lanterns, live music, and performances from around the world.
The festival will feature a powerful walk around the HOTA lake, where communities will unite in a single voice to create a sense of belonging and thrive for migrants, acknowledging their strengths and resilience. Additionally, a lantern-making workshop for kids will be held from 3pm to 5pm during the festival.
