Holiday fun Spring program @ the State Library of Queensland
Celebrate creativity, culture, and discovery at the State Library of Queensland’s Holiday Fun event this school holidays.
Throughout the school holidays, the library offers a variety of hands-on workshops to unleash your creativity. Explore activities like “You draw me!” where you can dive into the fun of drawing from life, and “Animated AR masks,” where traditional and digital art merge to create interactive face masks. “Make your mark” invites you to explore sensory black and white activity stations, while “Portrait play” lets you discover the Deaf in Dance exhibition and create your own portrait.
For those who love adventure, the Scavenger Hunt challenges you to uncover hidden library spaces and secrets. Or, if you prefer a quieter experience, the cozy Reading Room offers a perfect blend of exploration and relaxation, with stunning city views as your backdrop.
Bookings are required for some workshops at these events. For all other activities simply drop in and join in on the fun!
On Saturday, 28 September, mark your calendar for the GATHAA First Nations Markets family fun day, a vibrant, one-day celebration of culture and community. This action-packed event features immersive arts workshops, live performances, unique handcrafted goods, and delicious bushfoods, all designed to bring people together in a meaningful way.
