The Governor, in partnership with Health and Wellbeing Queensland, invites the community to a free walk through the Fernberg Estate on Friday, 25 September 2026.
Ahead of the AFL and NRL Grand Finals, and during the school holidays, this is a fantastic opportunity to get active, explore the beautiful grounds of Government House, and show your team spirit. Whether backing a Queensland-based club or simply enjoying the finals atmosphere, participants are encouraged to wear their team colours.
The walk will take participants along Fernberg’s new bushland walking tracks, established as a legacy project of Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo to encourage physical activity, wellbeing and connection with nature.
Held at Fernberg Estate, Government House Queensland. Free event, registration essential.
Bring a hat, water bottle, and a friend, colleague or family member, and enjoy a healthy morning outdoors.
