Pimpama Sports Hub Parklands offers a lovely mix of play equipment, open green space and shaded areas, making it a great spot for a family outing or if you’re visiting the sports centre.
Pimpama Sports Hub Parklands
Located within the Pimpama Sports Hub precinct, this playground has something for children of different ages, from little ones who love a slide to bigger kids keen to tackle climbing equipment and the tube slide.
For younger children, there’s a smaller play area featuring a slide, various climbing activities and a little walkway.

There’s also a larger play area for children looking for a bit more adventure. Here, you’ll find a tower, tube slide, climbing equipment and a fireman’s pole, providing plenty of opportunities for little adventurers to climb, explore and play.
Other equipment includes activity panels, a spinning seat and a seesaw-style seat. There are different swing options, including a baby harness swing, a saddle-style swing and a larger disc swing. The swings sit on rubberised flooring, while the main playground has a combination of rubberised surfaces, artificial grass and sawdust flooring.

Shade sails cover sections of the play equipment, with additional shade provided by established trees throughout the parklands.
Beyond the playground itself, there’s plenty of open grassy space for children to run around, kick a ball or enjoy a picnic. You’ll also find picnic benches, although they are not shaded, so it’s worth bringing a picnic blanket to sit in the tree shade if you’re planning to stay for a while.
Imagination Factor
The playground is divided into different play areas, with an animal theme running throughout the equipment.
The animal-themed playground offers plenty of opportunities for imaginative play, with children able to create their own adventures as they move between the different play areas.
The tower, climbing equipment and tube slide are perfect for little explorers, while the activity panels provide another way for children to engage with their surroundings. With a combination of open space, different play structures and equipment for varying ages, children can make up their own games and adventures.
Accessibility
Pimpama Sports Hub Parklands has pathways suitable for prams, wheelchairs and bikes, making it easier for families to get around the wider parklands.
The playground features a mix of surfaces, including rubberised flooring, artificial grass and sawdust, which might make some areas of the playground difficult for those in wheelchairs. The swings also have rubberised flooring underneath.

The playground is situated up a hill from the sports hub, so families should factor in the walk from the parking areas. There’s also street parking beside the playground.
While there are pathways throughout the parklands, the playground equipment itself includes climbing structures, steps and slides, so accessibility to individual play features may vary.
