Monster machines roll into Redland Bay for Shoreline family fun day

Monster Machine Day at Shoreline, Redland Bay
Redland Bay families will have a rare chance to get up close to some of the biggest machines helping shape Shoreline at the community’s first free Monster Machine Day. (This event was originally on the 24th October but due to bad weather was postponed)
Hosted by Stockland on Saturday 30 January, the event will feature excavators, diggers and dump trucks used to build the growing community, including its newest neighbourhood and first bayside precinct, Bay Hill.
Perfect for little builders and curious minds, the morning will give families a behind-the-scenes look at the large-scale machinery, alongside free entertainment and activities.
Free activities for kids
Families can enjoy:
- An impressive display of excavators, diggers and dump trucks
- Ride-on mini diggers and dump trucks
- Face painting
- Roving entertainment
- A lolly station
- Goodie bags for up to 600 children, while stocks last
Food and coffee will also be available to purchase onsite. Golding, the civil contractor helping deliver Bay Hill, will supply the fleet of machinery.
A morning for the local community
Stockland Senior Development Manager Cassandra Farebrother said Monster Machine Day was an opportunity to bring local families together and give them a closer look at the work underway at Shoreline.
“Children often see these enormous machines working away behind construction fences, so Monster Machine Day is a chance to get up close and see some of the machinery helping bring Bay Hill and the wider Shoreline community to life,” Ms Farebrother said.
“We’re excited to bring Monster Machine Day to Shoreline for the first time and create a fun and interactive morning where families can come together and connect with their local community.”
A similar event at Stockland’s Springfield Rise community attracted more than 2,500 people earlier this year.
“We know just how much children love these larger-than-life machines, with more than 2,500 people attending a similar event at our Springfield Rise community earlier this year, and we’re looking forward to welcoming Redland Bay families to experience it for themselves.”
