  • AboutBrisbane Kids Creative was created by me! Ngaire Stirling. I wont pretend to talk in the third person about myself, instead let me tell you a bit about me and how 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came about. At the time the domain name 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for purchase I was a stay at home mum in the middle of a degree centred around journalism and PR. a couple of years earlier I had been contemplating returning to my previous career in marketing management and for a while I even tried. 3 months into a new role and it was clear that I had no passion for my old life and to make the decision to quit easier, my almost 2 year old at the time was not coping with childcare. So, as a family we made the decision for me to return to becoming a stay at home mum. About 1 years later or so.. 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for sale. My friends had often commented on my ability to know exactly what was happening in Brisbane for kids. I had my son enrolled in some awesome activities and we often visited some great destinations. I loved finding fun things for us to doโ€ฆ

Agnes Water Beach Holiday Park

Camping in Agnes Water

For the second year in a row, our family set off for what is becoming our annual pilgrimage to the Agnes Water Beach Holiday Park for a weekโ€™s holiday. We live near Bundaberg, so we are lucky that the trip only takes us an hour, but if you were travelling from Brisbane it would take about five and half hours driving time.

The campgrounds are relatively easy to findโ€”once you get to Agnes Water, the grounds are located right on the surf beach front.

If you are after a holiday full of retail therapy and activities such as movies and theme parks, then Agnes Water is definitely not the place for you. It is, however, great if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle to spend some great family time at the beach.

Agnes Water

Whilst not filled with childrenโ€™s activities, the park always seems very child friendly and kids are able to roam around from camp to camp fairly safely. We could easily keep an eye on them moving to friendโ€™s camp sites from our own tent area. There is also a grassed area at the front of the park that is suitable for picnics and family cricket games, which many people took advantage of.

We love that the Agnes Water Beach Holiday Park is located right on the beach front with easy walking access to a patrolled surf beach.

Facilities at Agnes Water Beach Holiday Park

  • The caravan park caters for all types of campers with โ€“
    • Powered and unpowered camp sites for tents, camper trailers/vans and caravans
    • Safari tent chalets
    • New apartments and studios which have absolute beach frontage (I must admit, as a โ€˜camperโ€™, we found it disappointing that the newly completed apartments have been built at the front of the camp ground and have taken away the spectacular ocean view that we did enjoy there last year.)
  • The amenities block is a little dated, but it was always clean, has plenty of showers and toilets available and never has a shortage of hot water!
  • Camp kitchen
  • Laundry
  • Beach front cafรฉ
  • The park does welcome pets on van sites during the off-peak periods of the year.
  • There are cafรฉs and some shops within easy walking distance from the park.

Activities to enjoy at Agnes Water Beach Holiday Park

  • Right in the immediate proximity of the park, we enjoyed the surf beach (with an area for surfing), playground and bushwalks to the lookouts in the area. If the tides are low, there is an area around the corner from the beach that has rock pools for young children to paddle in and investigate sea life.
  • Within short driving distance is the close township of 1770, which offers calm swimming areas, paddle boarding, kayaking and walking tracks that include historic sites indicating Captain Cookโ€™s historic landing in the area.
  • 1770 is also the departure point for day trips on the LARC (an amphibious vehicle) to Bustard Heads Lighthouse and Lady Musgrave Island.

How to make the most of your stay at Agnes Water Beach Holiday Park

  • We recommend taking your own food supplies, as grocery items can be quite expensive in the local township.
  • We can recommend the local Thai and โ€˜Kahunasโ€™ restaurants.

Agnes Water Beach Holiday Park is located on Jeffery Court in Agnes Water.

Well, this is perfect for the kids to have some quality time especially those kids of yours are athletic. This would be some kind of great opportunity to bond with the family.
