There are restaurants that offer kidsโ activity packs, restaurants with onsite playgrounds, and now one Brisbane restaurant has gone a step further by providing a supervised kidsโ club.
KICK Bar & Grill Restaurant and the Cosmo Kids Club can be found at the Arana Leagues Club on Brisbaneโs north side.
The combination of good food and plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained means that everyone kicks a goal!
Eating and Drinking at Arana Leagues Club
The KICK Bar & Grill is open for lunch and dinnerย seven days a week and offers an enormous range of food โ everything from a traditional mixed grill to the vegetarian eggplant parmigiana.
For the children there are the old favourites โ such as pizza, fish and chips, or spaghetti โ as well as a healthier option of sausages with vegetables. All childrenโs meals are $8.50 and include an ice cream.
The Alfresco deck adjoining the KICK Bar & Grill is a pleasant spot to dine outside with soft lantern lighting combined withย wonderful Queensland weather. The KICK Bar & Grill Alfresco area is situated close to the kid’s room, or alternatively you could request an indoor table at the rear of the KICK Bar & Grill with a view to the Cosmos kidsโ club room so you can wave to your children from your seat!
The Tall Story Cafeย at the Arana Leagues Club is another option if you are looking for a lighter meal or snack, or maybe just a coffee and piece of cake. The cafรฉ is open from mid-morning till late, seven days per week, and there is live music on Thursday through to Sunday evenings. On Sundays, the cafรฉ opens at 8.30am to serve breakfast. All bread and pastries are baked on site daily and coffees are made by trained baristas.
Cosmos Kids’ Club
Cosmo Kids’ Club is a fully supervised facility for kids aged three to 12, and out of nappies.
It is gated, staffed, has bathroom facilities and plenty of toys, craft, Xboxes and ipads to keep the kids busy. However, the room is fairly small and so it does get a crowded during busy periods. The kidsโ club opening hours are:
- Monday โ Thursday:ย 5.30pm โ 9.00pm
- Friday: 5.30pm โ 10.00pm
- Saturday: 4.00pm โ 10.00pm
- Sunday: 1.00pm โ 9.00pm
The Cosmo Kids’ Club is free of charge for all children to use, however you can purchase a one off membership for $5.50 that is valid until your child turns 13. This membership includes an introductory free kidsโ meal and free entry to kidsโ club events. These monthly events include kidsโ discos, science shows and other entertainers. You child will also receive a birthday card with a free drink voucher at the beginning of their birthday month. You can even hold your childโs birthday party at the kidsโ club on Saturday afternoons.
