Beans on the Green @ Bardon – Child Friendly Cafe

Well known for its brilliant coffee, Beans on the Green is extremely popular with mothers groups and families who love to spread a blanket out on the grass and eat picnic-style.

Although there is not a designated kids menu to peruse there is still plenty on offer for the little ones at Beans on the Green.  Baby chinos, hot chocolate, kids-sized milkshakes, smoothies, slushies, juices, frappes and iced drinks are all available as well as cupcakes, muffins, muesli, cakes, ginger bread, cookies, croissants, toasties, toast and sandwiches options as well.

Food Vans on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights

Bardon Bowls Club regularly invites different food trucks along on the weekend afternoons to add a little something extra to your family experience.  These may differ, as can the days the come on so make sure you check out their Facebook page for which vans are coming when!

Kids Play Options at Beans on the Green

Its not just the great coffee and yummy food that is drawing the crowds – the cafe’s child friendly approach is a big winner for the local families and mothers groups too. The huge expanse of green grass is perfect for laying one of the supplied blankets out on under a shady tree or umbrella as parents can set up a picnic of sorts while the children run around them.  This space is also easily visible from the seating area and safe from any roads.

The cafe also provide toys, books, colouring-in books, games, shade, mats to play on and mates to play with.

Kids Can Now Bowl Too!

Just new to the Bardon Bowls Club is the fact that young children are now invited to have a game of lawn bowls too!  For kids wanting to join in they now have new light weight rubber bowls sets that come complete with mat, jack, 4 marker cones & 6 bowls, not forgetting the carry bag.  How awesome is that?

Other Child-Friendly Services Provided

With so much space to relax upon there is obviously plenty of room for pram parking at this cafe.  There is also a bike rack for cycling enthusiasts and dogs are also happily welcomed with bowls of water provided for thirsty pups.  High chairs and baby change facilities are also available.
