Booker Place Park in Bellbowrie is surrounded by nature, making it a peaceful destination for a play and a picnic with your Brisbane Kids. It also features a popular off-leash dog area so you don’t need to leave your furry kids at home.
Booker Place Park Playground
Booker Place Park really does have something for everyone. The main part of the playground is a wooden fort with bridges, planks, slides and climbing walls.
A sandpit, flying fox and swings in a natural setting will entertain and delight the kids while getting that much need fresh air. It’s the ideal rest stop for some free fun activity with your Brisbane Kid.
Paths around the playground make for easy manoeuvring around the park for strollers and wheelchairs, or even scooters and balance bikes.
Other amenities at this popular park include a skate park, accessible toilets, a water fountain, picnic shelters and a barbeque, making it a great spot for an after-school catch up, family gathering or birthday party.
A rebound wall and a basketball half-court are also in the park for bigger Brisbane Kids to enjoy.
A separate fenced dog off-leash area behind the park is ideal for your furry friend to run around in and let off some steam.
Booker Place Park is also one of the council’s Brisbane parks that are wifi hotspots.
Definitely bring the bikes to extend the play and make the most of this leafy natural space for some time with your kids.
Bellbowrie Skate Park
A fabulous skate park can be found in the nearby Stegeman Sporting Complex which is about 500 metres from the main Booker Place Park playground. You can walk between the two but unless your kids are old enough to ride the whole way or carry their own gear, it’s much easier to drive around to Sugarwood Street.
The newly refurbished skate park features traditional and street style equipment including a banked hip and ledge, a flow bowl transition section, a concrete roll-over and flow section, a free-standing quarter pipe and an adjoining scooter track.
This medium-sized skate park is suitable for beginners and intermediates and according to locals is especially popular with young scooter riders.
While visiting the sporting complex area you could also try your hand at some ball sports on the adjacent basketball court and rebound wall.

What We Thought of Booker Place Park
We love this park for its its nature theme and lots of opportunities for climbing, running and sliding. The little ones love sitting on the ‘you and me’ swing facing mum or dad and enjoying lots of giggles.
The older children, who always have plenty of energy, bring their scooters and spend ages doing tricks at the skate park. Kicking a ball on the grassy space is always fun too.
As a parent, I love there is plenty of shade, lots of trees and something to keep all members of the family occupied (including me and the dog).
