Bundaberg Botanic Gardens Playground
With more than 27 hectares of green space, there is plenty of room to spread out and explore across Bundabergโs Botanic Gardens. Start your day at this beautifully renovated playground, located inside the botanic gardens near the Hinkler Aviation Museum.
Across the playground, you’ll find 17 different play structures. There si something for everyone at this nature-play inspired park. Both young and older children will delight in the playgroundโs swings, carousel, two large forts, and smaller toddler fort.
Watch as the children explore all the nooks and crannies the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens Playground has to offer.
Imagination Factor
The park is designed to seamlessly blend into its natural surroundings with a water pump flowing into a pretend stream, balancing logs and stepping stones. If kids are lucky a few ducks might even waddle by. Bring the beach bucket and shovel as thereโs lots of opportunities to make sandcastles throughout the park.
Older kids will love the climbing forts that are purposefully built like a puzzle so kids have to work out how they can get to the top. There are both net and timber climbing structures to challenge their imaginations.
Monkey bars are uniquely designed to encourage out-of-the-box problem solving skills. While climbing rope structures have different levels for children of various ages.
Toddlers will love the stepping stones on the way to the toddler slide. Sitting inside a timber fort and atop a green hill itโs sure to provide little ones with tons of opportunities for pretend play.
This inclusive park features playground equipment for kids of all-abilities. Children in wheelchairs can access a play fort, that is if theyโre not too busy spinning around on the carousel or zooming back and forth in the all-abilities swing.
Accessibility
There is a flat walking path around the edge of the park, a BBQ area and several park benches underneath shady trees.
Shade sails are throughout the park creating a cooling space in the hot climate.
