Charlie and the Chocolate Factory | Brisbane April – June 2017

Brisbane Arts Theatre is excited to present Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the Brisbane Arts Theatre in April through to June 2017, just in time for the Easter school holidays.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Take a wonderful journey through a land of chocolate and candy during the school holidays and immerse yourself in the fantasy world of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This much-loved timeless tale will come to life on stage as Charlie, a young boy lucky enough to win a golden ticket, embarks on a delicious adventure in the factory created by Willy Wonka.

The story, set in a wonderland of sweets and surprises, will be brought to life on stage by a  cast and crew of professional actors, children, directors, technicians, students of Brisbane Arts Theatre’s College of Theatre Practice, and amateur theatre practitioners. On stage you will see not only Charlie and Willy Wonka, but also Mike Teavee, Augustus Gloop, Veruca Salt and Violet Beauregarde, who will all have the audience laughing out loud as they go on a tour of the most extraordinary chocolate factory in the world.

This delightful production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is sure to capture the imagination and entertain Brisbane Kids of all ages and their parents over the Easter school holiday period through to until June 2017.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Shows

All shows are being performed at the Brisbane Arts Theatre which is located at 210 Petrie Terrace, Petrie Terrace.

Performances are on at the following times:

• 2pm Saturdays (every Saturday in April and May, and on the 3rd and 10th of June)
• 2pm Sunday 23rd April and  Sunday 14th May
• 11am Tuesday to Friday in the Easter school holidays (4th April – 14th April)

After the show, all of the actors will come out into the courtyard to greet, chat and sign autographs which is a 50 year old tradition and one of the best bits about seeing a show at the Brisbane Arts Theatre.

Ticket prices are as follows –

• $18 per person
• $15 per person (groups of 10 or more)
• Families with a family subscription can redeem their included season tickets for this show.
