Dreamworld is one of the most popular theme parks on the Gold Coast. Unfortunately, when it comes to taking the whole family, including tickets, food, drink, gifts and more, it can become quite an expensive day out! The good news is there are several ways to get cheap Dreamworld tickets.
All you need to do is jump online to find some amazing deals.
To help save you some time (and because it is something we also would love to know), we have compiled a list of all the ways you can get your hands on some discounted Dreamworld tickets.
The Golden Rule: Don’t buy tickets at the gate. You will not get the cheapest Dreamworld tickets doing this!
Ways to get Cheap Dreamworld Tickets
Annual Passes
One of the best and most cost-effective ways to secure cheap Dreamworld tickets is by purchasing a yearly pass. Sometimes, even if you only plan to go once, these passes are cheaper than simply buying a single-day entry pass.
You can also save money by being a local. By entering your postcode, residents of both QLD (postcodes 4000 – 4999) and Northern NSW (postcodes 2450-2490) can get an even better discount on the already cheap passes.
Below are the current discounted local yearly pass options on the Dreamworld website.
Dreamworld SAVER Annual Pass (Locals)
With this pass you can get unlimited entry into Dreamworld for 12 months, valid from the date of purchase. You must show valid ID when collecting your passes at the park to prove you live within the postcodes listed above. No blackout dates.
What’s even better, you can pay upfront or in instalments.
Dreamworld VALUE Annual Pass (Locals and Visitors)
This one is probably our favourite discount Dreamworld ticket offers, as for only a few dollars more you can experience a full 12 months of Dreamworld fun and access for the same period of time to the SkyPoint Observation Deck and WhiteWater World. As if that is not cheap enough, the Value Annual Pass also get you:
- 1 entry to Dreamworld’s Happy Halloween event
- 1 entry to ice skating during Dreamworld’s Winterfest event and
- Food, beverage and merchandise discounts
Dreamworld LOCALS Annual Pass
This pass offers the same deal as the Value Pass, but has one very important difference. If you think you will want to continue going back to Dreamworld beyond your first year, then with the Locals Pass you are able to get a renewal ticket at an even cheaper price, when the time comes.
Motoring Association Member Discounts
If you are a member of any motoring associations such as RACQ, RACV, NRMA etc then make sure you head online to their websites to see if they offer discounted tickets to Dreamworld. They often offer discounts on the locals annual pass, one day tickets and two day tickets.
Experience Oz
Experience Oz is another online store that will sell you cheap Dreamworld tickets. With a range of different passes available, all promising to be at least 10% less than what you pay at the gate, it is worth jumping online and seeing what they are offering first. See the latest offering here.
Scoupon/Groupon
Online favourites when it comes to hunting down a good deal, Scoupon and Groupon regularly have amazing deals come up for cheap Dreamworld tickets.
They tend to do their deals in cycles, so if there isn’t one listed at the moment, be patient, as chances are another one will be listed on their site again soon. By downloading their apps on your phone, you can keep a closer eye on when they do pop up too.
Entertainment Book
The Entertainment Book that use to be bought and delivered at schools when we were younger is now available in an easy online membership for a price that brings you a wealth of amazing discount vouchers, deals and cheap tickets.
Although you have to outlay initial membership cost on top of your Dreamworld ticket prices, if you love to eat out, go to movies, or have any fun at all, then chances are you will make that money back after only a month!
