The existing trains in the museum have been given a fun make over with the faces of many of the familiar characters from the long running television series, including Douglas and Donald, Annie & Clarabel.
There are Thomas themed play stations set up throughout the museum, with puzzles, colouring in, toy train sets and more. Kids can even get a temporary tattoo on there hand featuring their favourite blue train.
There is also the opportunity to cool off in the air conditioned room while the kids play trains in one of the play rooms, or take a break and read a book in the corner reading nook.
For the bigger kids, the usual educational and interactive exhibits are a greater appeal, with the chance to learn about Australian railway history. Or like the younger visitors, they may even find themselves excited by the chance to learn some magic at the magician exhibit.
