
2024 International Observe the Moon Night
In collaboration with NASA, the Southern Astronomical Society is hosting the 2024 International Observe the Moon Night at the Oxenford Pony Club, Charlies Crossing Road, Upper Coomera, on Saturday, September 14th, starting at 6pm.
Attendees are invited to explore the cosmos through both visual and photographic observations, with opportunities to view the moon through telescopes and participate in engaging photography workshops. The event also offers a deep dive into the art of astrophotography, where you can learn to capture stunning images of the night sky.
One of the highlights of the evening will be the chance to experience the moon’s awe-inspiring details projected on a 100-inch screen, offering a view like never before.
Gold coin donations are appreciated to support the event, and a sausage sizzle and drinks will be available for purchase, making it a perfect night out for astronomy enthusiasts and families alike.
