Affordable Art Fair

Affordable Art Fair Returns to Brisbane in 2025

Following its hugely successful debut in May 2024, Affordable Art Fair is set to return to Brisbane Showgrounds from 8–11 May 2025, bringing a vibrant four-day celebration of contemporary art. Whether drawn to landscapes, sculptures, or abstracts, visitors will have the chance to discover original, high-quality pieces to suit their space, style, and budget.

The 2025 Fair will welcome around 50 independent Australian galleries, showcasing thousands of contemporary artworks priced between $100 and $10,000. This second annual Brisbane event, held over Mother’s Day weekend, will feature an exciting mix of new artists, emerging talent, interactive exhibitions, and live painting experiences.

Among the highlights is the Children’s Art Studio, an immersive, family-friendly space designed by Brisbane artist, children’s author, and mum, Tenyka Jay. This interactive area, set to appear at all three Australian fairs (QLD, NSW, VIC), will feature artist-designed colouring activities, a seven-metre hand-painted mural, free face painting, and watercolour whales, inspiring young minds to explore creativity through art and storytelling.

The 2025 Fair will also spotlight First Nations art, featuring works from talented artists including Lauren Rogers (Ngarabul, Torres Strait Islander), Nikita Newley (Wuthathi-Darumbal), Chloe Watego (Gubbi Gubbi/Kabi Kabi), and Nathan Rodgers-Falk (Ngemba, Murrawarri, Wiradjuri). For the first time, Yaama Ganu Gallery—a not-for-profit supporting Kamilaroi artists and Aboriginal-managed Art Centres – will join forces with Aboriginal Contemporary, a gallery known for ethically sourcing Aboriginal art, to exhibit at the Fair.

Since its launch in London in 1999, Affordable Art Fair has transformed the art world with its fresh, accessible approach to buying and appreciating art. Now a global phenomenon, it operates 18 fairs in 15 cities including Berlin, New York, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Singapore, Hong Kong, Melbourne, and Sydney. Over the past 26 years, more than 3.5 million people have visited an Affordable Art Fair,

With its commitment to making art accessible, Affordable Art Fair Brisbane 2025 promises to be a must-visit event for collectors, first-time buyers, and families alike.
