Asia-Pacific Tree Climbing Championship and Tree Kids Day Out
While many can identify with the concept of ‘tree climbing’ from our younger years, few have had the opportunity to see world-class competitive tree climbing ‘up close’.
The Asia-Pacific Tree Climbing Championship is an international sporting event for professional arborists. The competition pits the world’s best against one another, champion against champion, battling it out for Asia-Pacific’s top titles. The competition itself involves in a series of tests of agility, speed and skill, high in the canopy of the trees. The event culminates in the Masters’ Challenge on Sunday 25 May from which the 2025 champions will emerge.
Get the whole family on down to Capalaba Regional Park to watch the action. The children will not only get to meet a bunch of cool arborists that climb trees for a living but also have a go at a series of ‘Tree Kids’ activities for themselves. An exciting day out in Redlands favourite parklands for the whole family!
