Join Ranger Stacey for a naturally wonderful walk across the sandbar from Wellington Point to King Island, as part of the Redlands Coast AdventureFest.
This unique low tide experience offers the perfect opportunity to explore local wildlife, discover well-adapted coastal vegetation, and take in breathtaking scenery from every angle. Along the way, guests will hear fascinating stories about the island’s rich history and natural significance.
It’s a walk to remember – full of discovery and natural beauty.
What to bring: Enclosed walking shoes, sun-safe clothing, bug spray, a hat, sunscreen, and a water bottle.
Fitness level: Suitable for those with a moderate level of fitness, the walk follows a mostly flat, sandy track.
Parking: Allow extra time to find parking nearby.
Please note:
- Footwear may get wet, muddy, and sandy during the walk.
- All ages are welcome. The return walk will take approximately 90 minutes, and young children may require assistance from a parent or guardian.
- Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
