Also celebrating Book Week, the CBCA Queensland Branch is hosting “Come and Play Author” Day at Brisbane Square Library on Saturday 29 August, from 10:00am to 2:30pm, for children aged 4–8 and their carers. Families can enjoy book readings, performances and craft sessions with Queensland authors and illustrators, including Clare McFadden, Yvonne Mes, Kia Hing Fay, Alison McLennan, Sophie Beer, Kristen Willis, Rory H. Mather and Anil Tortop, with books available for signing on the day. Bookings are $5 per family via Humanitix, and spaces are limited.
