Christmas Flicks & Fireworks @ Surfers Paradise
Unroll your beach towel for festive holiday magic at Surfers Paradise Christmas Flicks & Fireworks this December 2026. Oceanfront crowds can watch family favorite movies right on the sand starting at 7pm, capped off by a spectacular 8pm seaside fireworks display each Sunday night in the lead-up to Christmas.
Christmas Flicks & Fireworks @ Surfers Paradise 2026
Surfers Paradise Christmas Flicks & Fireworks is back, with three festive evenings of Christmas movies and fireworks by the beach. Families and friends can bring a picnic blanket, settle on the sand and enjoy a free movie under the stars from 7pm, with sparkling fireworks at 8pm each night.
The movie line-up is:
- Sunday 6 December: ELF
- Sunday 13 December: The Grinch
- Sunday 20 December: Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
Visitors are encouraged to travel by the G:link light rail to Cavill Avenue, or to walk, ride, scoot or skate to the event.
The event is presented by the City of Gold Coast.
