Humpybong State School Celebrates 150 Years
Humpybong State School is turning 150, marking 150 years of learning, community and growth, and the whole community is invited to celebrate across two special events.
On Friday 11 September, from 4:00pm to 8:15pm, the Humpybong Birthday Celebration takes over the Waterfront Oval, with food trucks, a photo booth, fete-style activities, a bush dance complete with smashing bumpkins, and a fire and light finale to close out the night.
On Saturday 12 September, from 9:00am to 12:30pm, the Humpy Tea Reunion offers a more relaxed morning, with food available for purchase, school tours, a photo booth, and historical and art displays showcasing the school’s story over the decades.
These events are open to past students, teachers, current families, and community members alike, offering a great chance to celebrate, share memories, and reconnect with old friends. Special keepsake items to commemorate the occasion can also be pre-ordered
