Laidley Spring Festival 2025

This spring, Laidley bursts to life with a vibrant celebration of community, creativity and country hospitality at the annual Laidley Spring Festival. From Friday through Sunday, families can enjoy a packed program of events and activities designed to spark joy for visitors of all ages.

Friday – A Colourful Start
The festivities begin Friday morning, as the town transforms into a hub of colour and creativity. Visitors can explore the Spring Gardening Fair, Quilt & Craft Expo, Orchid Show, Gem Show, Under 5’s Day, Artist Exhibition and a delightful trail of Open Gardens throughout the region. It’s a celebration of nature, handmade artistry, and the warm community spirit Laidley is known for.

As evening falls, the atmosphere shifts to a relaxed Twilight Feast & Fest at Laidley Recreational Reserve from 5pm to 9pm. With local musicians providing the soundtrack, festoon lights glowing overhead, and market stalls dishing up delicious eats, it’s the perfect way to unwind with friends and family under the stars.

Saturday – Parade Day and Market Fun
By Saturday morning, the town is buzzing. The scent of coffee and fresh blooms fills the air as visitors browse the region’s largest country market. At 10am, the iconic Street Parade rolls through town in a joyful flurry of vintage cars, brass bands, vibrant costumes and community pride, all themed around a playful ‘Retro Revival’.

The day is packed with family-friendly entertainment including appearances from Elmo and Cookie Monster, a performance by rising country star Denvah, and high-energy moves from hip hop crew Gee’d Up. Car enthusiasts can marvel at gleaming classics at the Show ’n’ Shine, and foodies won’t want to miss celebrity chef Matt Golinski cooking up fresh, seasonal dishes using local produce.

Sunday – Bee Happy Day at Forest Hill
Families are invited to wind down the weekend at Bee Happy Day on Sunday morning from 8:30am to 12pm at Forest Hill’s School of Arts Hall. Perfect for kids aged 6 months and up, this cheerful event features themed crafts, circus workshops, bubble discos, face painting, food stalls and a charming artisan market.

Festival Tips
Most events are free to attend, with a few asking for a gold coin donation to support local groups. There’s free parking, a convenient park-and-ride shuttle, pet-friendly access (on lead), and accessible facilities throughout the precinct.

Whether you’re visiting for the day or staying for the weekend, the Lockyer Valley offers a range of family-friendly stays—from quirky cabins and glamping tents to budget-friendly rest stops and boutique country retreats. Wherever you stay, you’ll be welcomed with genuine hospitality and that unmistakable Lockyer Valley charm.
