Lighting the City Green for St Patrick

16 March
Lighting the City Green for St Patrick

Lighting the City Green for St Patrick

To celebrate the 2026 St Patrick’s Day Parade, the city will shine bright in Irish spirit with City Hall, the Story Bridge, Victoria Bridge, Kangaroo Point Bridge, and the iconic Reddacliff Place sculptures all glowing green in honour of the occasion.

The celebrations continue on Monday, 16 March, when City Hall will be illuminated in the Irish tricolour – green, white, and orange, at the request of the Queensland Irish Association, marking the Eve of St Patrick’s Day Eve Dinner in true Irish style.

Then, on St Patrick’s Day itself, the city once again proudly lights up green, inviting the Irish community and friends of Ireland to celebrate culture, heritage, and community together.

Brisbane, get ready to wear the green and celebrate all things Irish! 🇮🇪✨
