Moreton Bay Bat Night
🦇 Get ready for a fang-tastic evening at the first-ever Moreton Bay Bat Night! 🦇
Families are invited to join the fun and meet Frankie the flying fox while exploring market stalls, picking up free native plants, and learning all about the incredible pollinators of Moreton Bay—flying foxes!
This free event is packed with excitement: food and coffee trucks, face painting, craft activities, a jumping castle, and outdoor games for the little ones.
Environment Officers will be on hand to give an up-close look at the flying fox colony at Sweeney Reserve, debunk common myths, and explain the vital role these creatures play in our ecosystem. Local bat experts will also be sharing their research and conservation efforts, so come along and show your support for our native bats.
Don’t forget to dress up in your best bat or Halloween-themed outfit and make it a night to remember! Register now to secure your spot. Be sure to bring a Hat, sunscreen, water & binoculars.
