Neon @ State Library of Queensland
The Neon exhibition at the State Library celebrates the vibrant history and artistry of neon in Queensland from the 1940s to today. Brisbane’s iconic Stefan’s rainbow is among 26 original neon signs on display, joined by photographs and original footage from the library’s collection.
The exhibition highlights the evolution of neon as both an art form and a cultural symbol, showcasing the skilled glass artists who shaped its glowing legacy. From urban streetscapes to pop culture icons, Neon offers a fascinating glimpse into how these luminous creations have brightened cities and captured imaginations worldwide.
